The core of "Foundation for Seoul's 100-Year Urban Planning" is establishing an agreed philosophy and principles for Seoul's urban planning while creating a "framework for planning" by reinforcing the urban planning system. It also aims to build a "forum for discussion" where various Seoul stakeholders, including citizens and experts, can actively participate.
Based on these goals and values, the highest-level statutory urban plan "2030 Seoul Plan," "Living Zone Plan," and separate management master plans for important areas such as the Han River will be established. Seoul's urban management paradigm will also shift from "development and maintenance" to people-centered "urban regeneration" in line with planning and environmental changes.
