Namsan's Yesterday, Today, and Sustainable Future

From Painful History to Becoming Seoul's Lungs

Namsan, which lost its beautiful landscape to disorderly urban development 50 years ago, regained its original appearance through “Namsan Restoration Project” (1991-1998) and “Namsan Renaissance” (2007-2011). Since then, it has established itself as Seoul's landmark attracting 8 million annual visitors while expanding various facilities as a space for citizens.
