  • Seine riverside registered as World Cultural Heritage in 1991, but historical and public spaces not fully utilized, with many areas having poor river accessibility

  • From 2009 to 2012, improved Seine river accessibility and provided pedestrian spaces connected with nature, river, sports, culture, and economics. Removed some riverside roads and created integrated development for harmony between city and river, strengthening riverside ecological continuity

  • Improved accessibility and secured openness by connecting underground Passerelle Debilly to ground level

  • For improving pedestrian environment around Port de l'Hôtel-de-Ville, reduced road width and created walking trail along 1km section between City Hall and canal (Bassin de l'Arsenal). Created four crosswalks for river access and provided boat-based amenities and rest areas along walking trail

  • Created various public spaces themed around sports, culture, and nature. Installed adaptable facilities, waterfront facilities, and cultural facilities considering flood safety, then operated programs
