People, When Poongak Meets the Bells - IEUM

What kind of scenery would unfold if the wind music of the Joseon Dynasty and today's carol bells rang at the same time and in the same space? Imagine the "Joseon people enjoying Christmas Day" and connect our traditional Namsadangpae and the Christmas parade, which wished for the well-being and abundance of the village, like a scene. With performing arts such as Pungmulnori and Talnori harmonizing with Christmas, the Hechi madang is filled with a warm procession of festivals, depicting the winter that many people enjoy together.

Art, How was it when mum gave birth to me - Jung Haejung

begins with the child's curious question. This question about 'born' follows the response from the child to the mother and grandmother based on the artist's own experience, and shows the process of blurring and accumulating memories shared between generations. These personal and universal questions remind everyone of their own 'firsts.' In the work, the existence of 'I' is revealed as a being connected to the world around you beyond the individual. Unseenly entangled relationships and chain accumulation of time lead to individuals, communities, and cities and constitute today. This work allows us to look beyond the artist's individual genealogy and look again at the common time and space formed in everyone's life and relationships.

Media Art @ Haechi Lounge is presented every day from 8 AM to 10 PM.

The ‘Media Wall at Gwanghwamun Square’, installed with 53m-wide Full HD panels, is a media art platform where citizens can enjoy media artworks.
The Media Wall exhibits various media artworks created by artists and citizens alike all year round.
